Lois Knott opened her own design and advertising firm in 1971, after a stint in newspaper advertising and two years as head of the in-house agency for a chain of furniture stores. Today she oversees the daily operation of the business and has an active hand in each project as creative director, media planner and copywriter. She is an active volunteer, at both the business and personal level, serving on boards of directors and working throughout the community on special events.

Lois has been married for 45 years to husband, Ron, who also manages the accounting department of WhyKnott Advertising. They have two children and five grandchildren, and live in Hanover, PA. Her hobbies are scrapbooking, cooking and traveling with "hubby" and "the grands" as she calls the grandkids.

Her vast experience in her market, her creative imagination and her willingness to embrace the emerging world of internet technology and digital design have earned her a place in the 21st Century.

RON KNOTT | Accounting
Ron Knott heads the accounting department at WhyKnott Advertising. Since he has retired from his 45-year career in office machine service, he gives much of his time to the profitable management of the agency. Before retirement, he worked many evening and weekend hours keeping up with billing, payroll and all other financial aspects of the business. Ron has firmly supported the work and aspirations of the agency over the years and has cheered his wife on through the many seasons of business life.

Ron's hobbies are gardening, crafts and watching his grandchildren in sports and scouting activities, dance recitals and band performances. He loves a good football or hockey game and also enjoys traveling and camping with the grandkids.

His earnest and faithful participation in the business has allowed his wife's very time-consuming profession to operate as more of a family affair. Lois wants you to know that for this...and for Ron...she is very grateful.

KENNY BERWAGER | Art Director | Graphic Designer | Web Designer | Illustrator
Kenny knows for a fact that his purpose on earth is to design, be creative and run...yes he likes to run! Kenny was first introduced to a blank piece of paper and a pencil at an early age where he eagerly nurtured his talents for the arts. All the while pushing himself in running. He often spent endless hours on school sketchbooks and projects which were all considered by his classmates as "homework" just because he wanted to create something special and he trained during the winter months running just to gain that extra edge. Logging in hours of creating art and miles running over the years is what he considers as the aspiration and motivation that he needed to pursue his dreams further.

He believes that design is influentual and memorable and a tough run can shape your character. He thrives on creative stress and takes pride in his work ethic and producing good design. He later graduated from the Art Institute of York (formally Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts) with an Associates Degree in Specialized Technology. This is where he combined his knowledge of traditional Illustration with the principles of graphic design and the technology of the macintosh computer. For the last 5 years he has been established with WhyKnott Adverting as Art Director. In that time he has often been pushed beyond his limits to learn new skill-sets as the business continues to thrive. You'll see him at local 5k races or with his beautiful wife Tori and daughter Aubree.
